About Camp JCC
For over 80 years, Camp JCC has proudly served the youth of our community. We believe camp is more than just a fun way for kids to spend their summer; it is also a place where we can make a positive difference in their lives. Our goal is to create an exciting environment in which they can have the opportunity to learn new skills, cooperation and teamwork, while forging friendship and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our Staff:
At Camp JCC, we know that a camper’s experience is only as strong as the staff who support them. That’s why we intentionally build a diverse team of teachers, coaches, students, and specialists with a wide range of backgrounds in education and child development. Our counselors are carefully selected for their experience, education, and enthusiasm, and they complete comprehensive pre-camp training along with any additional certifications required by the Broome County Health Department.

Day camp
[For campers entering kindergarten - entering grade 7 fall 2025)
Campers are grouped by age for tailored activities. The daily agenda is diverse, offering a range of activities like swimming, sports, arts, nature exploration, culinary arts, outings, overnight stays, and special occasions. Our camp places a strong emphasis on character development, focusing on social skills, respect, teamwork, and self-esteem. Older campers can choose their own activities and go on regular trips for experiences like horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and various adventures. Depending on their age and maturity, they might also have the chance to join overnight excursions.

Teen Travel camp
[For campers entering grade 8 - entering grade 10 fall 2025)
Teen camp is where the magic happens - it's all about forging friendships, boosting confidence, and honing those social skills through a mix of leadership activities, inspiring mentorship sessions, and epic trips.
Each week, campers embark on thrilling escapades to spots like Ithaca, the Poconos, Connecticut, and even Ontario, Canada. From camping under the stars to kayaking, hiking, biking, and conquering ropes courses, it's a whirlwind of adventure and team spirit. Back at the JCC campus, mornings are all about being role models for younger campers aged 5 to 11. Teens dive into leadership programs, roll up their sleeves for community projects, and flex their event- planning muscles. This camp is the real deal for teens who are up for a challenge, selected through an application and interview process.
