Special Events

The “J” is host to a number of special events throughout the year, whether it is to celebrate a Jewish holiday, provide a facility for a community forum, host the annual JCC’s fundraising gala and/or provide a venue for local community organizations.  With rooms of all sizes at the “J”, Jewish groups and community organizations have the perfect place for an event.

Teen groups, awards banquets, ballroom dancing tournaments and community festivals are an example of on-going events at the “J”.  Most events are open to the public and charge a nominal fee.  Upcoming events are posted regularly.

 

JCC sponsored events include it's Annual Fundraising Event which often features a performance, music and possibly a comedian, bi-annual Jewish Ethnic Festival (co-coordinated with the Annual Jewish Ethnic Festival ( co-coordinated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Binghamton), Jewish Holiday Cultural Events (like Hanukkah and Purim Festivals), Annual Charity Golf Tournament, Annual Meeting & Dessert, Annual Athletic Hall of Fame.
